UV Treatment

In the ultr-violet unit water passes over an ultra-violet tube UV rays emitted by the tube will kill bacteria in the water. Major factors affecting performance of UV systems are the intensity of the light (call the dose), the contact time and the clarity of the water to be treated.

UV LIGHT CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT TOXIC CHEMICALS, HEAVY METALS AND OTHER POLLUTANTS. UV MUST ALWAYS BE USED AS  AN ACCESSORY, AND NOT A PRIMARY TREATMENT FOR DRINKING WATER.
