Common Water Problems > Gases - Radon

RADON

Overall, radon poses a greater health risk than any other environmental pollutant.

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas which is a product of the decomposition of uranium, a widely dispersed element in the earth's crust.

The waterborne radon may cause more cancer deaths than all other drinking water contaminants combined.

Radon levels are best controlled by ozonization and aeration units that treat all water in the house and vent the dangerous gas to the outdoors.
